In Conversation: Dominique Moody and Lynell George
To mark the closing of her Armory exhibition, artist Dominique Moody joins writer and journalist Lynell George for a conversation reflecting on Moody’s practice and the histories, memories, and experiences that inform her work. Their conversation will consider themes of home, migration, displacement, movement, and place, as well as Moody’s decades-long development of N.O.M.A.D. as both an artwork and an evolving way of living and making. Together, they will consider how experiences of displacement and change shape our understanding of home, and how memory, storytelling, and creative practice can help preserve and rebuild connections to place and community.
