See Art, Make Art Field Trips
Book a See Art, Make Art Field Trip at the Armory. Give your K–12 students a hands-on museum experience that connects looking, thinking, and making. Led by Armory Teaching Artists, students explore our current exhibition through inquiry-based discussion and interactive activities, then create their own artwork inspired by what they’ve learned. Each student leaves with an original piece, building confidence, creativity, and meaningful connections to art.

About Our Current Exhibition
Nurtured Flames: The Medicine of Fire
This new exhibitoin by Meztli Projects, presented at the Armory Center for the Arts, features new works created in 2026 by an intergenerational cohort of eleven Indigenous artists. Continuing Indigenous practices of collaborative art-making and learning, the exhibition explores the relationship between Indigenous Peoples and fire. Moving beyond the binary of "good fire" and "bad fire," the artists draw on Indigenous knowledge systems that understand fire as a force of stewardship, care, renewal, repair, and regeneration.
