Sanctuaries is a group exhibition where artists expound the meaning and imagination of the true and metaphysical sanctuaries that co-exist as protection, agency, preservation, and healing.

As Altadena resists erasure by environmental crisis, gentrification, and displaced histories, this exhibition recognizes the nature of impermanence and the work of preserving home when the structure is no longer standing.

This exhibition features works of Asian diasporic artists that explore the process of unmaking and remaking the self in their work.
