Let your imagination run free in this drop-in, hands-on clay workshop. Using air-dry clay, bring to life your vision of what a catfish might look like in the future. Guided by Armory Teaching Artist Austyn de Lugo-Liston and teaching artists from the Borrego Art Institute, these workshops take place next to Saar's Catfish Dreamin', one of the artist's earliest public projects reimagined for our recent exhibition Alison Saar: Of Aether and Earthe.

Catfish Dreamin' Poetry Reading and Screening
Saturday, March 26
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM PDT
Borrego Springs Park Amphitheater, 2599 Country Club Rd., Borrego Springs, 92004
Join us for an outdoor screening of a special video program inspired by Alison Saar’s Catfish Dreamin.’ Saar selected works by Carolina Caycedo, Carmina Escobar with Wesam Nassar, and Kate Lain to join her own recent video that helps us imagine traversing the waterways with a catfish as our guide. The program also includes readings by Xochitl-Julisa Bermejo and others. Works will screen at dusk in the amphitheater in the County Park just behind the Borrego Springs Public Library.
