Fire Relief
Armory Center for the Arts is heartbroken by the devastation and loss facing many of our staff, teaching artists, students, board, and all the members of our treasured community in Altadena, Pasadena, and across greater Los Angeles. As we continue to track the Eaton fire and the aftermath of its destruction, we are reminded of the power of community. Pasadena and Altadena are special communities made of generous, creative, and caring people, where the power of place is strong.
At least seven of our beloved staff and teaching artists have lost their homes, leaving them in urgent need of support. These individuals are the heart of our community, inspiring creativity and connection through their work at the Armory. Now, they need us to stand by them.
We’ve launched the Armory Fire Relief Fund to provide immediate assistance. If you are in a position to give, your donation, no matter the size, will help meet some of their immediate short-term needs. All proceeds from this appeal will be distributed directly to the impacted individuals.
The Armory will continue to be here to provide our communities with a home for essential creative care and a space to express the complex range of emotions that come with grieving. On behalf of the Armory, we thank you for your commitment to our community, and we are sending you our strongest, most healing thoughts during these extremely difficult times.
