Join us in welcoming our 2024 Getty Marrow Undergraduate Interns Han Kim and Tania Ordoñez. Since 1993, the Getty Foundation has dedicated upwards of $14 million to support over 3,500 paid summer internships at 175 local arts institutions—including Armory Executive Director Leslie Ito, who was in the internship program's inaugural class! The program's goal is to expose college students from backgrounds that have been underrepresented in the arts to careers in museums and visual arts organizations.
Communications department intern Han Kim studies Communication Arts with an emphasis in Illustration at Otis College of Art and Design. Han enjoys brainstorming passion projects and frequenting coffee shops during his free time. Han is passionate about exploring interactive storytelling and image-making, including collaborative installations and pitching projects with other queer students of color.
Exhibitions department intern and Pasadena City College student Tania Ordoñez is a Colombian-American Los Angeles-based artist who has already built a strong reputation as a filmmaker, photographer, DJ, and musician. After launching her solo project under the moniker Soltera in 2018, Tania expanded it into a full band by 2021. They have performed at prominent venues and events, including MOCA, LA Pride, Highways Performance Space, Observatorio Centro de Estudios Cinematografico (TJ), and La Sala Rossa (CAN). In addition to her performances, Tania is a passionate advocate for the arts community. She hosts "Todo o Nada", a radio show on Dublab dedicated to uplifting underground artists globally.
