Armory Visitor Policies

Visitor Policies
Armory galleries are open Fridays 2:00 to 6:00 PM, and Saturday/Sundays 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Admission is always free. Donations are appreciated. Reservations are not required.

Always maintain a safe distance from all artwork, cases, platforms, and pedestals. Photographs and videos are permitted using hand-held devices only. Devices must be kept a minimum of 18 inches away from artwork and may never be held over an artwork. Flash photography, tripods, monopods, "selfie sticks," lighting, reflectors, props, costumes, handheld microphones, models, and drones are prohibited.

Live-streaming is allowed in galleries, so long as you respect the privacy of others. Visitors, volunteers, staff, and artists are not be interviewed or distracted in a way from their primary job duties or performance. We reserve the right to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph or videotape on our premises if it is a disruption and/or is perceived that it might endanger works of art or other visitors.

Guests are permitted to take notes and make sketches in the galleries using pencils. Please keep ink, charcoal, markers, oils, and other liquid media at home or safely stowed away.

Please do not carry children on shoulders when visiting.

Photography and Video Release
The Armory reserves the right to photograph, record, and digitally document students and visitors in our building and artworks created onsite. These photos and videos are for fundraising, promotional, non-commercial, and educational purposes online and via print. By being present during these activities, you and/or your child(ren) consent to the use of your/their appearance and likeness by Armory Center for the Arts and its licensees, designees, or assignees, in all media, worldwide, in perpetuity. If you would like to opt-out, please email us at [email protected] or speak with one of our Visitors Services Associates if you have questions, concerns, or requests in regards to this policy.

COVID-19 Policies
Please do not visit the Armory if you are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms, even if they are mild. Masks are no longer mandatory at the Armory. Masking for the general public and staff is encouraged and based on individual preference. Masks are still available to staff, students, and visitors upon request. Mask guidelines are subject to change at any time. Staff, students, and visitors are strongly encouraged to stay up to date on vaccines and boosters.
