Studio Policies
Where do I register for classes?
-
Register for classes online at armoryarts.org/studio. Current Armory members receive an email with a private early registration link one week before general registration begins. Email [email protected] for any registration questions.
Cancelation & Refund Policies
-
A full refund or class credit will be granted for withdrawals made in writing to [email protected] two weeks before the start of the first class. Please note the $3.99 Sawyer booking fee is non-refundable. The fee is per transaction, not per class.
-
A 50% refund or class credit will be granted for withdrawals made in writing to [email protected] between two weeks before the beginning of the session and the second class meeting. For example, a refund request submitted 1 week before the first day of class would only receive a 50% refund. If you/your student does not enjoy your class after the first day, you have until the second class meeting to request a refund/credit.
-
No refunds or class credits are granted after the second class. No exceptions. Thank you for your understanding.
-
No refunds, credits, or make-up classes will be granted due to illness (including COVID-19 unless there has been a case or exposure on-site at the Armory).
-
Classes with insufficient enrollment will be canceled. If the Armory cancels a class before the first meeting, a full refund or credit will be issued in the original form of payment.
-
All communications regarding changes or cancellations to classes will be made to the email address/phone number on file for your registration.
-
Allow up to two billing cycles for all refunds to appear on credit card statements and up to four weeks for refund checks to be issued.
-
Refunds requested 120 days after the purchase date will be issued by check or e-payment.
General Class Policies
-
No supervision of children is provided before or after classes. Early drop-offs and late pick-ups are prohibited.
-
All children must be toilet trained (except for Art for Two toddler classes).
-
Starting Spring 2025, late pick-up fees will apply to any students ages 5-12 who are not picked up on time when classes end.
-
Please note that Studio doors open 5 minutes before the start of class. You can wait in the Visitor Lounge on the second floor if you arrive early. This applies to all age groups. If you find the doors open early, we kindly ask that you respect the Teaching Artist’s time and wait in the Visitor Lounge until the start of class.
-
Your Studio Tuition entitles you to use the Studio space during designated class times only. If you would like to check on artwork or pick something up between classes, we kindly ask that you contact us to make an appointment. The Armory reserves the right to turn visitors away who do not have an appointment. Thank you for your understanding.
-
We cannot provide any make-up sessions, refunds, or credits for any missed classes or late registrations.
-
We do not offer curb-side drop-off or pick-up. Parents/guardians must sign children ages 3-12 in and out daily. Students cannot participate without an adult signing them in and out.
-
Registration for most available Armory classes closes by the second class meeting. Enrollment is non-transferable.
-
We do not offer the option to audit classes.
-
The Armory reserves the right to change, withdraw, limit class size, or modify class content or art projects at any time.
-
We encourage prompt registration for classes. If a class does not have enough enrollment two weeks before the start date, we will have to cancel the class. In case of a class cancellation, we will notify all students via email or phone before the start date.
-
The Armory reserves the right to substitute listed teaching artists at any time.
-
The Armory reserves the right to remove, at any time, any participant whose conduct is deemed detrimental in any way.
-
The Armory is not liable for personal injury or loss, theft, or damage of personal property.
-
The Armory is not responsible for any artwork left after the last day of class or final pick-up dates for ceramics classes.
-
The Armory designs class curricula for specific age ranges. We kindly request that age limits be respected. All students must meet age requirements.
-
Class fees at the Armory are in exchange for services and are not tax deductible.
-
The Armory is not a registered daycare center. Our classes are not eligible for Flexible Benefits Plans.
