The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts has awarded the Armory $120,000 to support exhibitions and related programming over the next 2 years. The Armory is the only Pasadena institution to receive a 2015 Warhol Foundation grant, and just one of three Southern California institutions to do so (a sincere congratulations to our Los Angeles colleagues LACE and Clockshop for their awards).
About Armory Exhibitions
The Armory’s slate of contemporary visual arts exhibitions and programming includes rigorously researched and presented exhibitions, a dynamic program of screenings, performances, publications, lectures, and panels onsite as well as temporary installations and community-centered events at off-site venues — all of which are free to the public. The Armory’s respected exhibitions program develop solo and thematic group exhibitions that emphasize emerging and conceptually oriented practices, often contextualized historically, in diverse media. Driving curatorial initiatives is the recognized value of the intersection of rigorous creative practice, curiosity about one’s world and environment, and productive social engagement.
