Juneteenth

Juneteenth

Come Celebrate Juneteenth!

This Friday, June 19, with a car caravan for black lives organized by our partners at the NAACP Pasadena and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network. Vehicles will assemble at 4:00 PM inside Rose Bowl Parking Lot I, then caravan to City Hall.

From 4:00 to 6:00 PM on June 16, 17, and 18, Armory Teaching Artists will help you make your own protest signs for the caravan at the Pasadena Job Center, located at 500 N Lake Ave. We are helping to make paper flowers to decorate the lead vehicles in the caravan and encourage you to do the same. Armory student Zoe Wong heard about this request and wanted to help. She put together a hand drawn infographic so that you can decorate your car with flowers for the caravan, too. Thanks, Zoe! All materials will be provided. Social distancing will be practiced during the Job Center sign making sessions.
