Pasadena Photography Arts February Forum

Pasadena Photography Arts February Forum

PasadenaPhotographyArts (PPA) was founded almost 6 years ago to promote photography in Pasadena and the East Side of Los Angeles. PasadenaPhotographyArts is dedicated to the promotion of photographic arts; encouraging and supporting emerging fine art, documentary and conceptual photographers through promotion, exhibitions, publications and educational programs.

PPA has two ongoing programs now based at the Armory Center for the Arts:

Open Show Pasadena-East LA and Forum. At each Open Show, presenters from students to award-winning professionals show and discuss with the audience their photographic project.

The Forums are devoted to bringing together successful photography professionals to share the experiences of their success with emerging professionals in the audience. Our theme for this month's forum is Symbols & Meaning in Film and Television. Join us for a lively presentation from photographer Charles Edwards as we explore the artistic symbols and meanings found in film and television. We will discuss iconic images in the entertainment media and its use of elements, color, and composition to help drive the narrative of the storyline.
