This is an open invitation for anyone who lives or works in Pasadena to participate in a collaborative art project.

Artist Bia Gayotto invites you to be part of an art project that examines the physical and cultural landscape of Pasadena. Together, you will create a “living archive” that will help others to learn about this neighborhood from the inside out.

How it Works
Select any image that illustrates your view or relationship with Pasadena. It can be real or imaginary, factual or poetic. Use an original image or appropriate images from another source —a vintage photo, drawings, diagrams, poems, words, notes, maps, newspaper clippings... anything.

Save the image as a JPEG, include your name and a caption, then email it to [email protected] by May 1, 2017 (be sure to to include any ncessary copyright or credit information).

Questions? Email the artist at [email protected].

The Exhibition
Your image will be included in an exhibition in the Armory's Community Room from June 17 through July 8. The exhibition will also include a book made by Bia Gayotto about her own Pasadena experiences.

Join us for an opening reception on Saturday, June 17, from 5-7 pm to meet participants share stories.

The Armory's Community Room is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 12-5pm. Admission is always free.
