Are you an LAUSD teacher? Join us June 27-29 from 9am to 3:30pm for the Armory's Summer Institute for Teachers—a three-day, hands-on, professional development seminar that will teach you how to integrate visual arts with core subjects.

Let us guide you through Armory-designed lessons that infuse visual arts standards with Math, Science, and English Language Arts. Along with your grade-level colleagues, you will collaborate with our professional Teaching Artists and create an arts-integrated lesson and a rubric to address specific learning objectives. Through guided tours of our galleries, you will learn how to use questioning and Visual Thinking Strategies when looking at art, and you will discover how to discuss contemporary art with your students. In our spacious art studios, you will engage with a variety of art materials and techniques, plus you will learn how to use visual art vocabulary to give students constructive feedback on their artworks.
