Open to teens 13 to 18 years old still attending High School, the La Pintoresca Teen Education Center (LPTEC) is a place where teens can be themselves and interact with their peers in a fun, safe and inviting environment. The LPTEC offers tutoring with qualified staff, field trips, movies on Fridays, gaming competitions, art classes offered by the Armory Center for the Arts and much more! The Center has plenty of things to keep Teens educated and entertained including a Computer Lab with iMacs and Desktop Computers, free Wi-Fi, a large projector screen and ceiling-mounted projector, a Big Screen Television, PlayStation 3 and X-Box 360, Foosball, ping pong, and sports equipment. The LPTEC also provides teens with the opportunity to get involved in community and special events at La Pintoresca Park. The Center is adjacent to the Park and teens will be able to organize outdoor activities and utilize other amenities including a skateboard park, basketball court with lights, multi-purpose field, and a small water park (open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day).
