Registration Open: Tinkering School LA Summer Camp in Pasadena

Posted by Armory News on 8 May 2017

Tinkering School LA teaches children the skills they need to work confidently in wood, plastic, and metal to build robust structures as wild as their imaginations. With a 4:1 camper to facilitator ratio, our fully stocked workshop provides a safe and supportive environment for personal growth through skills development and creative construction.

Tinkerers are trained in safe shop use, including hand and stationary power tools. Each day provides a mix of skills building workshops, Design Challenges for individuals and teams, and open build time. Tinkerers build, rebuild, and tinker on their projects as the arc of the week grows towards the camp-wide Big Build.

Tinkering School LA is a program of reDiscover Center, who provides art, tinkering, and sustainability educational activities throughout the Los Angeles area at schools, festivals, camps, and at their Upcycled Materials Warehouse and studio in Venice.
