It is time for the Monster Drawing Rally, a tradition established in Los Angeles by Outpost for Contemporary Art.*

The Monster Drawing Rally consists of four one-hour shifts with 25 artists drawing simultaneously each hour. Completed drawings will be available for $75 each.

This year’s guest curators are Carlyn Aguilar, Leonardo Bravo, Kristin Calabrese, Chloe Flores, Eve Fowler, Liz Glynn, Micol Hebron, Luis G. Hernandez, Maryam Hosseinzadeh, Bill E. Kelley, Jr., New Highland Art Agents, Elana Mann, Jill Newman, Karen Rapp, and Evelena Ruether. This year's signature image (above) by Carolyn Castaño.

Popular food trucks Nom Nom, No Tomatoes and Coolhaus will be on-site throughout the day. Beer provided by Pasadena's own Craftsman Brewing Company. Music by DJ Trolley Parker and DJ MANVNATURE. Kids drawing activities, too.

*The event concept, Monster Drawing Rally, was initially developed by Southern Exposure, a San Francisco-based arts organization, in 2001 and has continued to thrive there since. Outpost is pleased to bring the concept to Los Angeles' vibrant art scene.
